Treat yourself to a bowl of homemade green tea cheng teng in this bipolar weather.

Green tea and glutinous balls are the two unconventional ingredients added to this cheng tng recipe. This nutritious bowl will serve as a healthy and tasty after meal dessert for the whole family.

Directions

Not shown in video: Rinse the dates with cold water to remove any particles
Put rock sugar, honey dates, red dates, Chinese almonds into a large pot filled with 3 litres of water and bring it to a boil. Simmer for 2 hours till fragrant.
Add green tea bags into the soup to infuse the flavour for 10 minutes.
Serve it with boiled FairPrice Glutinous Rice Dumplings.
For FairPrice glutinous rice balls: Remove glutinous rice balls from pack, add to boiling water and stir gently. Do not defrost the Glutinous Rice Balls.
Turn down the flame when the water boils again.
Cook till the glutinous rice balls float to surface.
Set aside.
