These yummy Malay potato patties are a delicious addition to any dinner and are guaranteed to be enjoyed by everyone!

Cooking Tips

1. You can add ground meat or seafood of your choice to the patties.

2. You can also add sweet corn, green peas and or other finely chopped vegetables too!

Ingredients

700 to 800
grams
Potatoes
, user firmer ones, peeled & cut into small pieces
1/2
cup
Spring Onions
, finely chopped
Salt and Pepper
, to taste

grams
Shallots
, fried
1
Egg
, beaten
1
Onion
, chopped
1/2
cup
Coriander
, finely chopped
Cooking Oil

Directions

Boil Potatoes until soft but not mushy.
Mash potatoes.
Add fried shallots, spring onions, coriander, onions, salt and pepper to mashed potatoes and mix evenly.
Shape the potatoes into patties.
Dip in egg before frying in oil.
Fry till both sides are golden brown.
Drain excess oil and serve.
