These cheese herb sticks are easy to make and also serve as decorations when you set them out in mason jars! Crispy and crunchy, this delightful snack will be a hot favourite among your guests.

Mixed Dried Herbs (Herb D’Provence)
Salt and Pepper

Egg Yolk

Baking Powder

Directions

Preheat oven to 200 degree Celcius.
Sift the flour.
Using fingers, mix the butter into the flour until it resembles breadcrumbs.
Add baking powder.
Add cheese, herbs and egg yolk. Mix well.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Add water to form dough and knead in the mixed herbs.
Lightly flour work surface and rolling pin.
Roll pastry to about 0.5 centimetre thickness.
Cut into long strips and place on baking sheet or paper. You may vary the shapes and also give each strip a twist.
Bake to light golden brown, about 10-15 minutes.
Cool on wire rack before serving or store in an airtight container.
