Golden brown, crunchy and sprinkled with chilli powder is the best way to enjoy squid. Try this very simple recipe for a tasty snack or as a side dish to your main meal.
Wash and pat dry all the sliced squids.
Season the squids with the lemon juice, salt, sugar, garlic and chilli powder. Mix well.
Sprinkle the flour on the mixture and coat squids.
Put the corn flour in a separate mixing bowl. Add the squids into the corn flour.
Deep fry on medium high heat, a few pieces at a time. Keep stirring while frying to avoid the squids from sticking together.
The squids will cook in 2-3 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
Sprinkle chilli powder and serve hot with lemon wedges.
